Amnesia Haze

The Amsterdam favorite, Amnesia Haze, is a sativa cannabis strain that emits a lovely citrus/lemon fragrance with sweet floral undertones. Its taste is similar to lemons with a coffee and earthy undertone on the exhale.

This strain was bred by both Soma Seeds and First Medical Seeds using differing parents. Soma Seeds crafted Amnesia Haze using Afghani Hawaiian, Jamaican Sativa, and Laos Sativa. First Medical Seeds combined Super Silver Haze and Cambodia Sativa. However, there have debates as to whether Thai, Afghani, and Haze were also somehow incorporated into the cross breeding.

Its THC levels average at 17% and can reach 22%. Its high has been described as uplifting and energetic, a great strain for a wake-and-bake or for use in the afternoon. It elevates the spirits, causing the consumer to feel happy. Some reviewers have defined the high as psychedelic and don’t recommend it for amateur users.

Amnesia Haze has been known to cause paranoia if consumed improperly. However, it has received tons of positive reviews and is carried in a majority of Amsterdam Coffee Shops since it can ease social situations and creativity.

Amensia Haze has won first place twice in the Cannabis Cup – in 2004 and in 2012.

Growers must be aware its grow time is typically longer than the norm, flowering at 12 weeks.
